The rafters were rocking at the Shakespeare North Playhouse as beloved Liverpool musician Pete Wylie and his band, The Mighty Wah! Performed a sold-out show on Friday 9 November
With a back catalogue spanning nearly 40 years, the band performed some of Pete’s biggest hits including The Story of the Blues, Seven Minutes to Midnight… To Be Continued and Heart As Big As Liverpool .
More than 300 people attended the special one-off performance in the iconic timber-framed Cockpit Theatre at Shakespeare North Playhouse which was part of this years Knowsley Music Festival.

Cllr Graham Morgan, Leader of Knowsley Council attended the performance and said:
“We are once again delighted to be hosting the Knowsley Music Festival and Pete Wylie & The Mighty Wah! kicked it all off with a phenomenal performance at Shakespeare North Playhouse. It was a very special night and I’m sure everyone who attended will agree, not one that will be forgotten in a hurry.”
“There’s more to come from the music festival, Deaf School will perform on 16 November at Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park, and that is sure to be another landmark show for the Knowsley Music Festival. Make sure you don’t miss out.”

The Knowsley Music Festival runs from 8 – 24 November with the Knowsley Fringe Music Festival running in tandem at venues across the borough.
