More than 3,000 people turned out in force to catch international street theatre performers, Spark! at Halewood Triangle Park on Sunday 27 October.
The illuminated drummers wowed crowds with a dazzling rhythmic show, engaging audience members of all ages with two 45-minute performances at the park.
This is the first time that Spark! have performed outside of a town centre in Knowsley, having launched Knowsley’s 50th year with ‘Moments of Light’ back in January with performances in Kirkby, Huyton and Prescot.
Two amber weather warnings had postponed performances in Halewood previously, and despite rainy conditions on the night, Halewood residents turned out in force to be a part of the magical performance through the woods.
Cllr Shelley Powell, Cabinet Member for Communities and Neighbourhoods said: “We were delighted to finally bring the much-anticipated Spark! drummers to Halewood, and it is wonderful to see so many people from the local community come out to be part of this special night.
“Having Spark! perform in the beautiful surroundings of Halewood Triangle Park brought an extra bit of magic to the performances and I’m sure it is something that people will remember for a long time to come.”
