Knowsley Libraries have teamed up with Read Now Write Now to run a series of free creative writing workshops for children throughout October.
Funded by Arts Council England, ‘Postcards from the Future’ invites children to explore and imagine what their lives may look like in the year 2050.
Guided and supported by the team from Read Write Now, children will develop a story and design a picture about the future which they will use to create a postcard. The postcards will then be placed on display at the library.
There are four workshops taking place at Knowsley’s libraries on the following dates:
Saturday 3rd October, Huyton Library, 10.30am to 12.30pm
Saturday 10th October, Prescot Library, 10.30am to 12.30pm
Saturday 17th October, Stockbridge Village Library, 10.30am to 12.30pm
Saturday 24th October, Halewood Library ,10.30am to 12.30pm
