The Knowsley Flower Show is back at Court Hey Park on Sunday 2 August 2026 and now that spring has sprung, it’s time to dig deep and start planting your entries for this year’s festival of flowers, plants, herbs and vegetables!
Whether you are an experienced gardener or a green-fingered novice the show committee are looking for new growers to take part. It’s as easy as picking up a packet of seeds or bulbs, putting them in some soil and seeing what appears!
The schedule for this year’s show is now live and there are more than a hundred different classes you can enter, whether you’re a novice, an experienced gardener or somewhere in between.
Christine Yates, Show Secretary said:
“The theme of this year’s show is ‘Stories in Full Bloom’ to tie in with the National Year of Reading. Just as authors start with the seed of an idea for their plot, so do gardeners, sowing seeds in their plot in the garden.
We’d love to see new gardeners take part this year and have classes for novices where you will only be competing with other people who have never tried it before. We provide vases or plates for you to use and we will guide you through the process. Who knows, in a few years you may be winning the trophy for Best in Show!”
And the Flower Show isn’t only for gardeners, Christine adds:
“We have classes to suit everyone, from jams and cakes to crochet and knitting. The whole family can take part too as we have children’s classes for all age groups. So why not change from spectator to participant and enjoy the show even more.”
The Knowsley Feelgood festival is back too, on Saturday 1 August with a jam-packed day of health and wellbeing activities for all ages.
Visitors will be able to enjoy physical activities to get their hearts pumping, as well as calmer activities designed to relax and de-stress your mind, plus get information and advice from key services from across the borough. There will be something to help everyone improve their overall wellbeing and have a great time doing it.
The Knowsley Feelgood Festival and Flower Show take place on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 August 2026 at Court Hey Park, Roby Rd, Huyton, L16 3NA from 11am-5pm
