There’s just a month to go until Knowsley’s biggest cultural events of the year return to Court Hey Park.
The Feelgood Festival is happening on Saturday 1 August with a day of entertainment and wellbeing activities for all ages. Visitors will be able to enjoy physical activities to get their hearts pumping, as well as calmer activities designed to relax and de-stress your mind, plus get information and advice from key services from across the borough. There will be something to help everyone improve their overall wellbeing and have a great time doing it.
The 28th Knowsley Flower Show takes place on Sunday 2 August with this year’s theme – ‘Stories in Full Bloom’ – bringing literature and horticulture together in the National Year of Reading.
The Knowsley Flower Show is the largest free horticultural Show in the North West and is enjoyed by thousands of visitors and exhibitors each year. The show is always looking for new growers, bakers and crafters to take part in the competition. There are more than 100 classes (categories) to enter including classes for novices, and for children and young people. All the information you need to take part, plus a full list of the classes can be found on the Knowsley Flower Show website here: HOME – Knowsley Flower Show and more information on how to enter can be found here: Entering the Knowsley Flower Show? Here’s what you need to know.
As usual over both events there will be a host of amazing food vendors, retailers, information stands and activities including; facepainting, circus skills and the bubble fairy. The fun fair also returns with a range of rides suitable for all ages.
NEW PARKING ARRANGEMENTS FOR 2026
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all visitors to the Feelgood Festival and Knowsley Flower Show, there will be no general on-site parking at Court Hey Park this year. Instead, we will be operating a ‘Park and Ride’ scheme from King George V Playing Fields on Longview Lane. Parking is £4 for the Feelgood Festival and £6 for the Flower Show and includes the free shuttle bus service to, and from Court Hey Park.
There will still be limited Blue Badge Parking on site at Court Hey Park which will be operated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Cllr Shelley Powell, Cabinet Member for Communities and Neighbourhoods said:
“We are looking forward to welcoming residents and visitors back to Court Hey Park for two fantastic days of celebration. The Feelgood Festival and Knowsley Flower Show are highlights of the Knowsley events calendar, bringing together families, friends and communities.
“This year we’ve introduced new parking arrangements. The Park and Ride scheme will help to improve safety and make the experience better for everyone attending. By removing general parking from the event site, we’ve been able to free up additional space within the park, allowing us to host even more activities, attractions and entertainment for visitors to enjoy.
“Whether you’re taking part in a wellbeing activity, entering one of the Flower Show competition classes, browsing the stalls or simply enjoying a great day out with family and friends, there will be something for everyone. We can’t wait to see Court Hey Park come alive once again this August.”
