The summer holidays are officially here! If you’re looking for ways to fill the next six weeks look no further that Knowsley’s Libraries, who are hosting a whole range of fun, free activities for all ages.
Huyton, Halewood, Kirkby, Prescot and Stockbridge Village libraries have put together action-packed programmes across all branches to keep the kids busy.
As well as regular crafting sessions, where kids can make everything from friendship bracelets to pom pom animals and pop-up pictures, a series of special one-off events will take place at the libraries throughout the summer.
Join storyteller Susanna Meese for ‘Telling Tales’ at all five of Knowsley’s libraries. Linked with the Marvellous Makers Summer Reading Challenge 2024 these events are sure to be a workout for the body and mind with active games and quizzes alongside Susanna’s spectacular storytelling skills.

The Dogs Trust will also visit all libraries over the summer teaching children and young people how to look after and be safe around dogs, through games and quizzes,

Children also have the opportunity to sign up for this year’s Marvellous Makers Summer Reading Challenge. Pick up your special collector’s pack at any of Knowsley’s libraries and find books to read for your Challenge. You’ll collect stickers and other rewards along the way!
