Local communities and business are invited to play a role in Knowsley’s Feelgood Festival and Flower Show.
Excitement is building for this year’s events, taking place on Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 August 2022. It is the first time in 2 years that it’s been staged in-person and is set to be a highlight of Knowsley’s year as Liverpool City Region Borough of Culture.
COMMUNITY PARTCIPATION
In anticipation of this fantastic event, Knowsley Council is hosting a gardening workshop where the local community will have the opportunity to meet the Knowsley Flower Show Committee. Made up of expert gardeners they will share handy tips and advice about gardening and growing. People can also pick up a copy of the Knowsley Flower Festival schedule which has details of all the classes that growers can enter and will help plan how to get involved this year

Seed Sowing
Learn how to pot tomatoes and you can even take it away to continue growing at home
Herb Planting Demonstration and Wildflower Workshop
Learn from Incredible Edibles how to grow herbs with an interactive demonstration. You can also find out how wildflowers contribute to wildlife gardening while making a wildflower out of recyclable materials with visual artist, Faith Bebbington. You can then see your wildflower in a field of Wonderful Wildflowers at the Knowsley Flower Show this year!
The Wonderful Wildflowers project has been funded through a Knowsley Heritage Grant facilitated by One Knowsley and supported by National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Health, wellbeing and heritage
During the day you can also learn how gardening and spending time in the garden can boost mental health and wellbeing and relieve stress and anxiety not forgetting improving physical health.
Visitors can also enjoy viewing the National Lottery Heritage Fund exhibition and also pick up your free archive book celebrating the Knowsley Flower show’s history

BUSINESS AND CRAFT STALL PARTCIPATION
While organisers continue to plan the event, they are inviting traders and craft stall holders the opportunity to book a stall at the Knowsley Flower Show & Feelgood Festival.
From cards, and handmade soaps to cheese, olives, fudge, cakes and jams, traders are invited to be involved.
