The Magic Wood: A Fire Garden by Walk the Plank

More than 2,400 visitors descended on Court Farm Woods in Halewood to witness The Magic Wood – A Fire Garden by Walk the Plank.

Running over three consecutive evenings (21,22,23 January) the event featured a host of fiery attractions including fire breathers, fireworks and the world premiere of a new artwork -The Firebird – a large mechanical sculpture which flaps her wings, wags her tail and breathes fire.

Tickets for the free event were highly sought after with the first release in December selling out in a weekend and an additional release during the weekend of the event going in under an hour!

The Magic Wood is a key part of the New Dawn programme – a series of illuminating events and magical moments which starts Knowsley’s year as the Liverpool City Region Borough of Culture.
