The much-loved Prescot Festival of Music and the Arts will return this summer, bringing 10 days of culture, music and community celebration to Knowsley.
Now in its 22nd year, the festival will run from Friday 19 June to Sunday 28 June 2026, featuring a programme of concerts, performances, workshops and family-friendly activities across Prescot.
A Festival for Everyone
The festival opens in style on Friday 19 June (7pm) at Prescot Parish Church with a Brass Spectacular performed by the Clock Face Miners Heritage Brass Band and continues with highlights including a Choral Celebration, an organ recital, theatre at Shakespeare North Playhouse, a barn dance, and performances from the Easy Street Big Band and South Liverpool Orchestra.
Families can enjoy free events throughout the week, including the Primary Schools’ Choir Festival (22 June) and the Prescot Carnival at Brown’s Field (28 June).
King’s Award Presentation
A major highlight of this year’s festival will take place on Friday 26 June, when the organisation will formally receive The King’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest honour awarded to volunteer groups in the UK.
The presentation will be made by the Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside, followed by the evening’s Easy Street Big Band concert.
The award recognises the festival team’s longstanding contribution to arts and culture in Knowsley and their commitment to community engagement.
