Knowsley’s iconic Owl and Pussycat sculptures are continuing their tour around the Borough and are now located in Kirkby town centre until the end of October.
The sculptures have already visited Huyton Village Centre, Halewood and more recently Prescot town centre.
From 25 August, you’ll be able to find 27 Owls and Pussycats in total which can be found in fifteen different locations across Kirkby town centre.
The colourful sculptures, including the William Shakespeare themed “A Midsummer Night Owl” and a Beatles-themed “Owl-y Need Is Love” were inspired by the famous Edward Lear poem and all have a unique design that reflect a part of Knowsley’s history and culture.
They were created and formed a pivotal part of the programme when Knowsley hosted the Liverpool City Region Borough of Culture in 2022.
Cllr Shelley Powell, Cabinet Member for Communities and Neighbourhoods said: “It’s great to see the spectacular Owls and Pussycats continuing their tour around the Borough.
“I know that communities in Huyton, Halewood and Prescot have loved to see them out and about when they visited and Kirkby residents, businesses and visitors will love them too.
“Public art trails like this are fun for all ages and are such a great way to explore the local area. It’s the perfect activity for everyone to enjoy this autumn.“
