National Gallery Masterpiece Tour
Kirkby Gallery hosted a selection of work from world renowned artists including Cezanne, Degas and Renoir from 10 October 2022 to 17 December 2023
The Gallery was only one of three places chosen across the UK to host the National Gallery Masterpiece tour of Degas’s ‘Hélène Rouart in her Father's Study’, sponsored by Christie’s.
The work was exhibited at the same time as an international touring exhibition from Oxford’s Ashmolean Museum – ‘Making an Impressions: Prints by Manet, Pissaro and their Contemporaries’.
Almost 3,000 people visited the exhibition in Kirkby, including 50 school and university groups.
