Kirkbyography

A large-scale outdoor exhibition took over Kirkby town centre in November and December of 2022 as part of Knowsley’s Year as Liverpool City Region Borough of Culture.

Local residents and people with a connection to the town worked with a team of creatives to help make a visual biography of Kirkby, which was displayed at locations across the town.

Through stories, photographs and memorabilia, the exhibition celebrated and documented the many personal histories of Kirkby, past and present.

The project was made possible – thanks to National Lottery players – with support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
