Transport is an important part of Huyton’s geography.
The town is easy to get to by road and rail, whether you're travelling from nearby or far away. Huyton railway station opened in 1830 and was part of the first railway between Liverpool and Manchester. It is one of the oldest passenger stations in the world. For nearly 200 years, it has helped people travel into the city and beyond.
Today, Huyton’s busy train and bus stations serve both residents and visitors, playing a key role in keeping the area thriving.
