Event Details

The Owl & the Pussy-Cat sculpture trail will run from 20 June to 4 September 2022 – a key feature of Knowsley’s year as the Liverpool City Region Borough of Culture. Thirty-two huge and elaborately decorated creatures will be located across Knowsley in parks, public spaces, town centres and other locations. Designed and decorated by artists with support from members of the local community these beautiful sculptures will be spread across borough. The public are encouraged to follow the trail, find all the creatures, photograph and record it on social media via a free downloadable app. In addition to the 32 large sculptures on display, local schools have also been working on designs for a further 50 smaller creatures who will also be posing up across the borough. The trail commemorates the fact that Edward Lear actually wrote his world-famous poem – The Owl & the Pussy-Cat – during his time living at Knowsley Hall. The incredible sculptures have all been produced by Wild in Art. Download the app and earn rewards as you discover all the sculptures.
