How do I get to St. John Fisher Church Parish grounds?

St. John Fisher Church is located on Tithebarn Road, Knowsley Village, L34 0EU.

We ask that participants and attendees make their way to the start of the parade or to their chosen position on the parade route by foot or public transport where possible. We also encourage attendees who live outside of Knowsley Village to make their way via public transport where possible due to there being no public car parks in Knowsley Village itself and off-road parking spaces in the village being limited.

Is parking available?

There is limited public parking available in Knowsley Village, of which the available car parking will be allocated to performers, event staff, event volunteers and parade participants.

What will the parade route be?

  • The parade will begin at St. John Fisher Church Parish grounds.
  • The parade will turn right out of the gate onto Tithebarne Road and turn right again onto Frederick Lunt Avenue.
  • At the end of Frederick Lunt Avenue, the parade will then turn right onto Sugar Lane and parade up to Knowsley Village Primary School.
  • The parade will then pause and turn around in the opposite direction so that it can complete the second half of the parade while making its way back to St. John Fisher Church Parish grounds via Frederick Lunt Avenue.

What will happen at the end of the parade?

The parade performers, participants and attendees will gather on the grounds of St. John Fisher Church for a short performance by Katumba and a short dance performance by local dance school DanceWorks. There will be a speech to close the parade.
